My 140lb buddy bought one. He loves it for playing in the trees, but it's not a big hill climber sled or anything.

I bought a 2014 SP 146 with the 600. Only have 11 miles on it over the crust but so far nothing to complain about. Power feels very similar to my older 800.

We bought one this past weekend and pick it up on tomorrow. My wife and I are both looking forward to riding it, though she will be the primary rider. Our first new sled ever. Decided to get a new 600 for the same price as a used 800. We'll ride this sled for MANY years so there was value in knowing how it was treated it's entire life. Since we are not into riding straight up hills, we figured the 600 will be plenty for the tree riding. trail riding, and glade carving she will do. My primary ride is a snowbike and we'll keep her old tank as a backup/buddy sled. This sled will let her take her riding to the next level which is very exciting for both of us! Will check back in on this thread as the season progresses.

I have a 2013 600 etec 146, in all the riding we do I haven't really ever been left behind by an 800. I'm not really one for big hill climbs, but it will handle a pretty good incline, although sometimes I have to get a bit creative with my lines.

Just been out riding. A Quick spin, i got 145km/h on the topspeed in the gauge.

I didn´t think it would go that fast, not even on hard packed snow. :Snowroller3:

When I bought mine the max speed said 94 mph. I figured maybe 80s tops.

94 mph = 151 km/h. Thats higher then mine. From factory it stood 138 km/h = 85 mph on mine.
GPS speed should be around 135 km/h if i got 145 km/h on gauge.
I have that experiense from my wifes XP Renegade 600 sdi.

I've owned 4 of them three 154's and a 146, Really like the 154's, for my area a 146 is not quite enough track.

We don't have enough snow yet to tell whether the 2 1/2 track on the 15 is better or worse than the 2 1/4.

Great boondocker not much of a hill climber in deep soft snow.

Bulletproof compared to the 800's.

Burns less oil but not much fuel off trail.

An experienced rider on the 600 will make most big bore newbe riders look stupid. Good choice.

So we've now spent three short days on the 2015 SP 600 154. Most were trail break in miles with one day being an avalanche course field day, so not a lot of riding, but that day, we got out in some powder and a few kind of steep hill climbs maybe 75 yards long on powder. Wife and I both LOVE this sled. We are primarily comparing to our 8+ year old sleds, so granted any manufactures 2015 would be a fair improvement over our previous sleds, but we've been on friends' newer sleds and are just really happy with the summit XM chassis and the 600 154 is a little ripper that should serve us well for a long time.

Wife road it most of the time but I snagged it every opportunity I could. It handles great on the trail, carves hard in the powder and sidehills like a champ. Has the power to wheelie (for lack of a better word) with any small roller (with feet near the back of the boards and usual body english). That surprised me. I can see how someone would want more power for long climbs in really deep power, but in the 75+ yard pull I went up, it zipped right up without slowing down. More to come as we put on more miles. I'd have to look at the odometer, but I think we have around 60 miles on it now.

If I was buying a summit for my sled, I would really be torn between the 600 and 800. If it was the difference between getting one and not, it's a no brainer, just get the 600 and enjoy. Even if money wasn't an issue, it would be hard to argue with the value of this sled and if the extra ccs are worth the $1,000+ extra. or, one could put that money towards some nice accessories and be quite happy with a well accessorized 600 vs. a bare 800. We got the mediums sized LinQ tunnel bag and it was worth every penny as was the larger of the two skid plates.

Thinking this was done on a track stand either at the factory or dealership.

What clutch setting are you guys using on your 600 sea level or high alt. Fore the moment i´m riding the sea level but in deeper snow it will not pull the rpm like it should and lacy backshift, Driving from 300- 600 m right now.
Sea level kitt: 412 ramp spring 130/260 16,6 g weight. The secondary are the same on both kitt.

working on mine right now. 15 600 etec 146. I had the dealer leave the high elevation parts in it. still experimenting with it, and need more snow. currently have in it the 440 ramps, 160-290 primary spring, green secondary spring, 16ish grams, and a straight 44 helix. getting a drop in rpms about halfway through the shift right now. think I might try the 412 ramps if I can find a set, or a different primary spring. trying to get it out of break in mode before I make any more changes. not sure how the motor responds to that.

My secondary spring is black 157/303 and 41-45 helix clicker 4 in ramp. It revs 74-75 and slowly pushes to 8000-7900 on hard track, in snow it does the same can´t get more rpm then 7800. Don´t now were too start ,maybe a sec spring 231/303 will raise the shift rpm and get better backshift.

Keep in mind that during breakin, the computer will do weird things with rpm/power. Are you guys waiting until after breakin is complete before messing with the clutch setup? During break in, it would be hard to make any valid long term adjustments.

I mentioned that. No idea how the motor will respond to that, tis why I'm holding off on any more changes.
